As a sleep-lover, the idea of beauty sleep is something i’ve always used as an excuse for staying in bed all weekend. We know that sleep has great regenerative properties but how true is it that sleep really helps give us that “glo-factor” we crave?

1.     Good sleep decreases inflammatory responses in cells. Conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema are all a result of increased inflammatory cells. The more sleep, the more the body can naturally heal itself.

2.     Getting enough sleep keeps your skin glowy and bouncy due to your body replenishing its natural collagen and hyaluronic acid. When you don’t get enough sleep, these breakdown.

3.     A good nights sleep allows for quality water balance. Your body is able to use the necessary water to prevent puffy eyes, bags under eyes, wrinkles and skin dryness.

Getting quality sleep allows our body to do what it’s meant to, not to mention saving money on products that mimic those processes.
